Well, okay I’ll be honest – it’s not mine.  This is a very overly simplified version of a 17 Day challenge that my company offers.  If you would like more info on it, message me and I can arrange access for you.  There are 8 points to focus on over the next 7 days’, so this blog post is going to super short so that you can have the space to implement these points into your life over the next 7 days’.  So here we go:

  1. Go on a media diet.  Purge yourself of all media – whether that be Facebook, Twitter, listening to the radio, reading newspapers or magazines, watching the news including all of your local press conferences and anything said by mainstream media or politicians.  It won’t change your individual situation in any way.  Going to websites and finding out the daily Covid case numbers doesn’t help either.  You are a Creator and even still inside of hard Lockdown, you can continue creating.
  2. Don’t pass judgement on others – give everyone (including yourself) a pass.  Everyone is doing the very best they can right now with what they have.  You cannot possibly know the intricacies of everyone’s situations.  Everyone is dealing with this Pandemic in their own way.  Have compassion and empathy.
  3. Find something to laugh at/with.  Put on a comedy show or movie.  I’ve been tuning in to a guy called Jimmy Rees in Melbourne – you can look him up on Facebook.  He records hilarious videos about the Pandemic situation here in Australia and really pokes fun at all of our State Leaders.  It’s become a bit of a daily thing in our household to see when his latest video is up.  Engage your family and even friends’ – have a virtual coffee and find the simple joy in laughing and smiling.
  4. Visualize your goals happening.  I have a beautiful spiral bound note book with gorgeous colours on the spine together with inspiring words.  Every morning and night I write out my goals for the month.  I write out my income goal, where I see that money coming from and what I intend on doing with that money.  I write out every little thing I intend on spending that money on and put a dollar figure on each.  I use an entire A4 page every morning/night but I also spend the time visualizing it happening.  I also record myself saying them all as well and listen to it.  It’s powerful – give it a go.
  5. Intend that a shift in your emotional state is taking place.  Simply put the intention out to the Universe/God/Spirit that you would like to see the world with different eyes.  If you want to see something different in your life, you first have to BE different.
  6. Develop a gratitude practice.  That could be anything from writing in a journal, calling someone every day and telling them why you are grateful for them, carrying a gratitude rock around with you, saying thank you every time you take a step – whatever works for you but do it every single day as much as you can.
  7. Whatever happens – turn it into something positive.  Find something positive in everything – it doesn’t matter how small and then focus on that.
  8. Commit and re-commit to following each task and integrating it into your DMO.

It does all sound so super simple doesn’t it?  But do it and see what comes up in you.  What excuses you make.  What distractions come up.  It’s tougher than you think, but so very worth it in the long term.
